Historical evolution
Most of the villagers in Fuxing came from Quanzhou and Xiamen in Fujian Province. During the prosperous period of Lugang in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, they came to Fuxing from the ports of Lugang and Wanggong in succession. Some of them followed Zheng Chenggong, king of Yanping Prefecture, to Taiwan to live in the coastal areas for the first time, and gradually entered the countryside for reclamation. During the Yongzheng period, people in Taiwan and Fujian had close contacts, and their household registration increased year by year, spreading to Fuxing township. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Fuxing township was subordinate to Changhua County. In the first 17 years of the Republic of China (the 28th year of Meiji), Fuxing township was subordinate to Lugang branch office, known as the 15th district. In June of the first 14 years of the Republic of China, Fuxing Township was incorporated into Lugang Office of Taichung office, which was mainly divided into fanshe district and honghoriliao district. In the first eleven years of the Republic of China, the county was abandoned and transferred to the jurisdiction of Lugang branch office of Changhua County. In October of the Republic of China, the government system was reformed and local autonomy was implemented. In addition to xiucuo, Xishi, Tongan, Sanhe, Zhenping, maicuo, xianian and dingnian, the rest of the land was collectively referred to as fuxingzhuang, each of which had Baojia. In the 34th year of the Republic of China, it won the Anti Japanese War and was named Fuxing township. However, it was under the jurisdiction of Zhanghua District, Taichung County. The Township Office was located at the original site of Yuanzhuang service farm, which was divided into 22 villages and 226 neighbors. In the 35th year of the Republic of China, the administrative region of Taiwan Province was adjusted, and Fuxing township was subordinate to Changhua County. In 1988, the neighborhood was readjusted and increased to 254, which is the same today.

Because of excessive groundwater extraction for many years, the problem of stratum subsidence has occurred. Now fishermen are using aquaculture circulating water to solve the crisis. Now, due to the use of plastic products, the market demand is shrinking, and the planting area is gradually decreasing, and few people know this craft. It may be lost in the future. In terms of industrial production, there are mainly two industrial zones, one is Fuxing Industrial Zone in Wanfeng village in the southeast corner of the township, and the other is part of Changhua coastal industrial zone in the coastal area. The rest of the manufacturing industries are distributed in dots, with more industries including wood processing industry, metal machinery industry, chemical industry, etc.
