Beishan township is under the jurisdiction of Xide County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Located in the south of the county, 100 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 101 square kilometers and has a population of 4000. It has jurisdiction over six village committees: Wawu, Yangpeng, Zidu, ziha, zirimo and Beishan.

On January 12, 2021, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Liangshan Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of Puge county and other seven counties (cfgm [2021] No. 1): Xihe township was abolished and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Beishan Township, and the people's Government of Beishan township was stationed at No. 60, group 1, Rimo village.
