Historical evolution

Yonghe Town

It was first named Benbu city and banbu city. It is located in the upper reaches of Liuyang River, on the southeast Bank of Daxi River, 38 kilometers away from Liuyang municipal government. In 1733, the county annals began to be called Yonghe City, meaning permanent peace. In the same year, Liuyang County improved the capital system and Yonghe was the capital. It was named Yonghe town in 1912. In 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Liuyang East District. It was established as Yonghe Township in 1950. In 1959, he merged with Hengshan township to form Qibaoshan commune; in 1961, he became Yonghe commune; in 1973, Yonghe town was established. By the end of 2011, it had jurisdiction over six villages including Xinlian, Futian, Yongbao, Jiacheng, Shijia, Jinpen and Juxi community, with 151 villager groups and 5 resident groups.

Jiajing (Xin Youxiu) Liuyang County annals records: because Yushan is rich in lead, iron, borax, qingfan, danfan, Tuhuang, alkali stone and other seven treasures, it is named Qibaoshan. In the song and Yuan Dynasties, Shengping Township and jiangbujiang village belonged to the first capital of the East; Baoshan, Tieshan and Jingquan belonged to the second capital of the East. Hengshan commune was established in September 1958 and renamed Qibaoshan Township in April 1984. Shengping township was merged into Qibaoshan Township in June 1995. It borders nine townships, namely Xiaohe Township, Zhangfang Town, Guandu town, Yanxi Town, gugang Town, Gaoping Town, Zhonghe Town, Wenjia town and Huangmao town in Wanzai, Jiangxi Province. It is the most contiguous Township in Liuyang City, directly connecting the East and south of Liuyang. Yonghe town is an old industrial base. The territory is rich in mineral resources. More than 20 kinds of minerals have been proved, such as phosphorite, inulin and sepiolite. Among them, phosphorite is one of the six major bases in China. The total ore reserves are 6.09 million tons, and sepiolite accounts for 1 / 5 of the world's reserves. The inulin mineral is produced in the territory alone, which is rare in the world. It is a precious and rare resource, known as "one of the world's largest". There are medium-sized state-owned enterprises in Hunan Province phosphorus chemical plant and Hunan Province Yonghe phosphate fertilizer plant. the town has a cultivated area of 13273 mu. Since 1998, based on the characteristic resources of Loropetalum chinense, it has developed the flower industry with Loropetalum chinense as the leader.
