Qianfeng Forest Farm

Qianfeng forest farm is located in the northwest of Wuying District, 28 kilometers away from Fenglin River trunk line. It is adjacent to Pingyuan Management Office in the East, Yongfeng Management Office in the south, Youhao Forestry Bureau in the West and Hongxing Forestry Bureau in the north.

The total area is 13774 hectares. Qianfeng forest farm belongs to low mountains and hills. The temperature is 0.1-0.3 ℃ lower than that at the foot of the mountain, and the early frost and freezing are earlier than that in the whole area. The frost free period and growth period are 7-10 days shorter than the whole region. At the end of 1985, there were 510 residents (in 2010) (313 employees, including 18 management personnel, 230 production workers, 32 culture, education, health and business personnel, and 33 service personnel). Nowadays, there are schools (junior high school attached to primary school), clinics, shops, guest houses, clubs, libraries and broadcasting rooms in the forest farm.

Qianfeng forest farm was founded in 1957 and was named the fourth forest farm at that time. In 1964, it was renamed fenglinhe forest farm. It was changed to fenglinhe Village Office on January 20, 1965. On April 19, 1968, it was renamed the Revolutionary Committee of fenglinhe forest farm. On September 6, 1973, it was called the Revolutionary Committee of fenglinhe business district. On October 7, 1976, it was renamed Revolutionary Committee of fenglinhe administrative region. On March 3, 1979, it was changed into fenglinhe forest farm. In 1984, it was renamed Qianfeng Forest Farm according to the census of place names.

This field is a forestry grass-roots production unit with timber and silvicultural production as the main production unit, combined with forest and sideline production, comprehensive utilization and diversified production as the supplement. From 1962 to 1985, a total of 1523290 cubic meters of wood were produced, with an average annual output of 63470 cubic meters. The highest year (1971) was 90429 cubic meters, accounting for the first place of wood production in the whole forest farm. There are 3 small timber production teams, 10 managers and 123 workers. Silvicultural production: from 1965 to 1985, a total of 41053 mu of reforestation was completed. Agricultural production: in 1960, we began to open up wasteland for cultivation. After 26 years of cultivated land change, by 1985, there were 285 mu of cultivated land. In addition, the fields in front of and behind the houses of the family members of the staff and workers basically reached self-sufficiency in vegetables.

In 1960, the breeding industry began to develop. Due to the great changes in the site, only a small number of rabbits and chickens were raised. In 1975, the breeding industry developed, with 203 pigs and 500 chickens. In 1979, 350 pigs were raised, with an average of 1.5 pigs per household; 1000 chickens were raised, with an average of 4.15 pigs per household. In 1983, 130 rabbits were raised. In 1985, due to the development of breeding industry, the farm was self-sufficient in meat and eggs. In 1983, planting industry was carried out and ginseng and Auricularia auricula production was carried out. After several years of business activities, until 1985, the remaining area of ginseng was 20000 square meters, Astragalus was 5000 square meters, Gastrodia was 70 boxes, planting Auricularia auricula was 3200 sections, and planting Auricularia auricula in bottles was 20000 bottles.
