It is adjacent to Wan'an Township in the East, Hebin sub district office in the south, Liantang Township in the West and Xianyang town in the north. It is 3.3 km wide from east to west and 7.5 km long from north to south, covering an area of 16.2 square kilometers. Located in the middle reaches of Nanpu River, the landform is a river valley basin, with the largest area of 2418.75 mu in the East and west of Beimen, and four mountains of 300-1000 meters.

Tracing back to history, 8 cultural sites from Shang Dynasty to spring and Autumn period and Warring States period have been found in the territory. In Song Dynasty, Xinli was divided into 16 squares inside and outside the city. In the early Ming Dynasty, Fenyi Xinli was divided into dongyuli, xiyuli, nanyuli and beiyuli, with 4 pictures per Li. In Ming Dynasty, there were 12 streets and 13 alleys in the urban area. The main streets were composed of people lying on their backs, commonly known as "beautiful women offering flowers". This layout lasted until the early liberation. In the Qing Dynasty, eight lanes and eleven societies were set up. In 1915, it began to be a district resident. In the 27th year of the Republic of China, it was renamed the urban area, with four joint insurances of Dongzhen, Xizhen, Beizhen and Shuixi. In the 31 years of the Republic of China, it was changed into Tiren Town, Xishan town and Wentong town. In the 36th year of the Republic of China, it was changed into two towns: Tiren and Xishan.
After liberation, it was a district resident. It was renamed Chengguan town in November 1955. On September 13, 1958, it was called Dongfeng people's commune. In January 1964, it was called Chengguan town again. In September 1981, it was renamed Nanpu town. At the time of the fifth census on November 1, 2000, there were 17931 households and 54929 people in the town, including 27523 women. According to statistics at the end of the same year, there were 5 village committees, 41 villager groups, 5 neighborhood committees, 177 resident groups and 49 753 non-agricultural population in the town. On December 31, 2005, Nanpu town was changed into Nanpu sub district office. This year, according to the information provided by the County Public Security Bureau, there were 55824 people in Nanpu sub District Office (2010).

Nanpu sub district office has rich historical and cultural resources and tourism resources. The site of Pucheng, one of the six military castles built by Yushan, king of Dongyue, in the period of Jianyuan (140-135 BC) of Han Dynasty. Yuewang mountain (now known as xianlou mountain) was built on the beacon tower, that is, Yuewang tower. In the Song Dynasty, the hall of Emperor Wu was built in Hualu. In 474, the second year of Hui in the song and Yuan Dynasties, Jiang Yan was the order of Wu Xing. He once stayed in an isolated mountain in the west of the city. There is a legend that "a dream pen produces flowers". Since then, the mountain has become a famous cultural mountain in the past dynasties. In addition, there are Yueshan Taoist temple, Huanghua Mountain, Tianxin Shengguo temple, zhuangyuanjing, Xishan zhenfuzi temple, zhutongjun Qinlou and so on. The literati of Ming Dynasty praised eight natural and cultural landscapes inside and outside the city as eight scenic spots of Pucheng. After liberation, xianlou mountain was turned into a forest park, with 170 species and 100000 trees planted, 2 main roads, 284 stone steps and 4 pavilions built. The territory is rich in water resources.
Chengguan power station was built in December 1971, generating 400 kilowatts of electricity. Land resources include 5091 mu of cultivated land, including 4840 mu of paddy field and 251 mu of dry land. The Office actively cooperates with the county government to carry out the old city reconstruction, and makes full use of the construction land resources for construction, so that the municipal construction of "dachengguan" has taken shape.
history
Nanpu sub district office is the political, economic and cultural exchange center of Pucheng County. According to Pucheng County annals written by Wanli of Ming Dynasty, "since the past dynasties, the place of governance has not been moved". It can be seen that Nanpu is the place of county governance. Since ancient times, there have been a lot of merchants, especially on the day when the sea ban was not opened, which is known as "little Suzhou". The county annals of Wanli in Ming Dynasty called Dashi (today's Qipan Street) as "the area where merchants and people gather", while the county annals of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty called the wharf of yingyuanmen in the west of the city as "the area where merchants and people gather".
After the completion of May 13 Road in 1959, commercial outlets were mainly distributed in this street. In June 1985, the construction of Beimen new district began, and the business district gradually extended to the north. After liberation, the economy developed gradually, especially after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
