Yuchi Township, belonging to Shangzhi City, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, is located in the northwest of Shangzhi City, at the foot of Laoyeling mountain at the West foot of zhangguangcai mountain, and at the upper reaches of Mashi river. It is adjacent to Hengdaohezi of Hailin City in the East, Shitouhezi town in the south, Yabuli town in the West and Lianghe town in the north. In 2018, the area of Yuchi was 89.28 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 11557.

In October 2019, Yuchi village governs seven administrative villages.

In 2017, Yuchi Township had 35 enterprises with 200 employees, including 5 industrial enterprises and 5 large-scale enterprises; in 2018, Yuchi Township had 10 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

During the period of Japanese occupation, it belonged to Yabuli district.

In 1956, Xinxing village, Shuanghe village and Jinhe village were merged into Xinxing Korean Township, and xinkaidao village was transformed into a township.

In 1958, the two townships were merged into Xingkai township; in July, Xingkai township was merged into Yabuli town.

In January 1975, Yuchi commune was established.

In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township.

In 1990, it was changed to Yuchi Korean township.
