Yonghe township is located in the northwest of Anji County, bordering hanglong town in the southeast, Shiqiao Town and Qiaotou Township in Ningguo City of Anhui Province in the west, Sihe Township and Taoshan Township in Guangde County of Anhui Province in the north. It is 40 kilometers away from Anji County. With an area of 109.27 square kilometers, the township mainly produces moso bamboo, yellow withered bamboo, chestnut, pine and fir, which is a typical Forestry Township in Anji County.

Historical evolution

In history, it belongs to Yonghe township of Xiaofeng county. In 1949, it belonged to Yongtai district. In 1950, it belonged to Yongtai District, with three townships of Jinxi, Tongkeng and Yaocun. In 1958, Anji and Xiaofeng counties were merged into Anji County, and the three townships were merged into Yongtai commune. In September 1961, Jianxi and Yaocun communes were divided from Yongtai commune. In 1984, the society was withdrawn and the township was built, which was called "Jinxi township" and "Yaocun township". At the end of 1992, the two townships of Xi and Yao village were merged. Because the two townships belonged to Yonghe Township in history, they were called Yonghe Township again with the meaning of "permanent harmony".

Memorabilia of reform and opening up

In 1978, all villages in the township were connected to highways. in 1980, high voltage lines were set up in the township. In 1982, the household contract responsibility system was fully implemented. In 1987, the township bamboo weaving factory was built. In 1990, he put forward the slogan of "prospering the countryside through science and education" and started the development of Moso bamboo, Chinese chestnut and yellow withered bamboo in an all-round way. In 1989, three television ground receiving stations were built. In 1993, Mr. Shen Binglin, a patriotic Hong Kong compatriot, took the lead in donating money to build the teaching building of Yonghe Central Primary School. In 1994, eight village level cable TV stations were completed. In 1997, wendaiyaziling highway, located in a small Alpine village with an altitude of more than 500 meters, was completed. So far, the whole village has been connected to the highway.
