Single town

Single town, under the jurisdiction of Shuangcheng District, Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, China. It is located in the southeast of the District, adjacent to Wuchang City in the southeast and facing the Lalin River in the South and Yushu City in Jilin Province across the river. The town government is 15 kilometers away from the city. Single city area, the Republic of China period, is the seventh district of Shuangcheng county. In the late period of northeast occupied by Japanese, Rende village was set up. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, the 16th district was set up. In December 1948, it was changed into the single city district, and then into the 16th district. In March 1956, the division of township was removed and the single city Township was set up. In September 1958, it was renamed Dancheng people's commune. In the spring of 1984, it was changed to Dancheng township. In August 1985, it was changed into a single town.

Economics

A single town is flat in the north, low-lying in the South and fertile in soil. The total area of the town is 118.9 square kilometers, with 96300 mu of arable land. The main crops are corn, soybean, rice, flax, sugar beet, etc. In 1992, the total output value of township enterprises was 21.36 million yuan. The town has 17 villages, including Zhengzheng, Zhengde, Zhengli, Zhengxin, Zhenghong, Zhengcai, zhengjiu, Zhengqian, Zhenghe, Zhengshun, Zhengxing, Zhengfeng, Zhengyong, Zhengshan, Fuyuan, Yangqing and Shuangyue. The permanent resident population was 25731 (2017); Manchu, Korean and other ethnic minorities accounted for about 11.5%. The town government is located in xiangjiawopu.

It governs 19 administrative villages, including Zhengzheng, Zhenghong, zhengsui, Zhengli, Zhengxin, Zhengcai, Zhengyi, zhengjiu, Zhenghe, Zhengshun, Zhengxing, Zhengfu, Zhengfa, Zhengyong, Zhengshan, Zhengfeng, Shuangyue, Fuyuan and Dancheng. In 2000, the population of Wupu was 23414.
