Laiguangying District

Laiguangying district (Regional Office) belongs to Chaoyang District of Beijing. Located in the north of the area, 11.8 kilometers away from Ritan Park. It is adjacent to cuigezhuang Township in the East, Olympic Village in the west, Wangjing in the South and Changping District in the north. With an area of 20.93 square kilometers, it has 5 administrative villages, 18 community neighborhood committees and 3 community preparatory offices, with a permanent resident population of 176446 (2017). The office is located at No.1, South Hongjunying Road, Chaoyang District. Beijing Baotou railway passes through Wanghe railway. Wenyu River flows through the countryside.

Historical evolution

In the Republic of China, it belonged to eight suburban districts and Daxing County. After 1952, it belonged to Eastern suburban district, Heping Township in 1956, and Heping commune in 1959. in the following year, it was transferred to China Arab friendship commune, Laiguangying township was set up in 1961, then to commune, and then to township in 1983. In 1996, it covers an area of 23.2 square kilometers and has a population of 30000.
