Daqiao town

Daqiao Town, subordinate to Xihe County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the southwest of Xihe County, with Changheba County in the East, Longba Township in Wudu District in the south, Haolin Township in the West and Luoyu town in the northwest. It is 56 kilometers away from Xihe County, with a total area of 98.91 square kilometers.

In the Han Dynasty, Daqiao town belonged to Wudu County, the base camp of baimadi; in 2014, Daqiao township was changed from township to town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of bridge town was 10560. As of June 2020, the government of Qiaoqiao town is in Yudong Town.

The main food crops in Daqiao town are wheat, corn and potato; the main economic crops are tomato, cucumber, pepper and Chinese cabbage. In 2018, Daqiao town has one industrial enterprise, one of which is above scale, and eight comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the Han Dynasty, it belonged to Wudu County, the headquarters of baimadi.

In the Jin Dynasty, Qiu Chi state was established.

During the Northern Wei Dynasty, it belonged to cangquan county.

After 1949, the bridge Committee was set up.

In May 1953, the bridge Committee was divided into Daqiao, Yudong, Qiuchi and Longfeng townships.

In October 1955, Yudong township was merged into Daqiao township.

In August 1958, Daqiao and Longfeng commune were rebuilt.

In December 1983, Daqiao commune was transformed into a township.

In 2014, Daqiao township was changed from township to town.

Daqiao town is located in Longnan mountain forest area, which is divided by two rivers and forms three fan-shaped mountain systems. It extends from west to west and gradually invades into the river valley of Western Han Dynasty. It has steep mountains, deep gullies, complex terrain and wide altitude. The highest point is Tieshan in the south of the town, with an altitude of 2200 meters. The lowest point is Hanhe community, Hanhe village, in the southeast of the town, with an altitude of 970 meters.

There are four rivers in Daqiao Town: the water of the Western Han Dynasty enters from majishe, Guoba village; the Taishi River enters from shangxiaweijiepaigou; the Yangma River enters from north to South at qiuchimogou and flows into the water of the Western Han Dynasty; the Longfeng river flows into the water of the Western Han Dynasty in Longfeng village, with a total length of about 47 km.
