Tuanjie Township

The township is located in the east of Guiyang County, 15 kilometers away from the county seat. Yangtang and Shantang, which are at the junction of Matouling township of Chen County, form a fir forest zone. It was once a timber base of Guiyang.

Location overview

By the end of 2003, the township had an area of 63 square kilometers and a population of 13200. The township government is stationed in tuanjiewei. The road is open.

Historical evolution

During the period of the Republic of China, the township was Weiyi Township, formerly known as chenguiwei. It was a village where the residents of Guiyang and CHENXIAN lived together. It belonged to Tongde Township in 1949, Tuanjie Township in 1956, Zhangshi commune in 1958, Tuanjie commune in 1961, Zhangshi commune in 1964, Tuanjie commune in 1970 and Tuanjie Township in 1984. In 1954, after mediation by the office of the Commissioner of Chen County, the residents of the two counties united and helped each other, so it was renamed tuanjiewei and named it tuanjiewei.

By the end of 2003, the township had 10 village committees: Tuanjie, Gonghe, Yangtang, Dongchong, Pingdu, Zengjia, hecangtou, zhuzhong, Guishang and shentangao.
