Shili Street

Shili street, located in Lianxi District, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is close to the north foot of Lushan Mountain and the South Bank of the Yangtze River. Beijing Kowloon Railway, national highway 105 and Changjiu Expressway pass through the area. It is the political, economic, cultural and commercial center of Lianxi district.

Shili street, with a total area of 43 square kilometers and a population of 106480 (in 2010), has jurisdiction over 2 administrative villages, 6 pure communities and 17 neighborhood committees of factories and mines. It is adjacent to Xunyang District in the north, the Development Zone in the West and Lianhua town in the southeast.

Shili street was set up in 1972, and it was subordinate to Xunyang district. In 1990, it was changed to Lushan District. In 1997, it covers an area of 25 square kilometers and has a population of 40000. It has jurisdiction over 24 neighborhood committees, including 5727, Jiubo, Jiujiang finance and technical college, Jiufang company (with 4 companies), No.1 Construction and No.2 Industrial Zone, Shili old street, automobile transportation, Shili, 707, 441, 713, five departments of the fourth Railway Bureau, Changhong, district government compound, Jiuwei, light machinery, power, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, shipyard and jiuchai. The street office is located at 152 Shili Avenue. on December 25, 2001, Shili township was abolished and assigned to Shili Street (reply No. 601 of ganmin Zi). It has jurisdiction over Shilipu, Dadou, Changhong, district government compound, Huangtuling, tongpanlong, liujiatang, five departments of tiesiju, 707 institutes, power plant, Jiujiang motor transport, 713 plant, Changhe company, diesel engine plant, light engine plant, 5727 plant, Jiujiang College, guomian No.2 plant, instrument plant, shipbuilding school, No.1 Construction No.2 plant, Ganbei shopping mall, Jiangsu Plant, Jiubo plant and 267 team 25 neighborhood committees and two administrative villages, including Shili and luozishan.

Shili township is located in the north of Lushan Mountain. The township government is located in Shilipu, 5km away from the municipal government. Beijing Kowloon Railway, Changjiu expressway, national highway 105, Jiujiang Lianhua highway transit. There is a railway freight station in tongpanlong village. Shi Li commune was set up in 1958 and changed to township in 1984. In 1984, group 7 of Sanli village and Huangtuling village in Shili township of Lushan District were put under the jurisdiction of Xunyang district (GFT Zi 492). In 1997, it covers an area of 18 square kilometers and has a population of 47000. It has jurisdiction over five administrative villages: Huangtuling, Shili, liujiatang, tongpanlong and luozishan. On December 25, 2001, Shili township was abolished and classified as Shili Street (reply No. 601 of ganmin Zi).
