Shimen Township

Shimen township is under the jurisdiction of Cangxi County. Shimen township was established in 1951, changed to commune in 1958, and restored to township in 1984. Located in the southwest of the county, 33 kilometers away from the county government. It covers an area of 33.36 square kilometers and has a population of 7356 (2017). It governs 14 villages of Yanghe (Xianfeng Village), Longshui, Qixing, Sanlin, Zhongliang, Huashan, zajiang, zhaibao, Jincheng, Beituo, Zhujiang, Yucheng, Jinying, wenjiajiao and one community of Longxing community.

In 2020, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Guangyuan City to adjust the administrative divisions of some villages and towns in Cangxi County and other three counties (cfzm [2020] No. 1): the Shimen township was abolished and the administrative area of the original Shimen township was put under the jurisdiction of Yuanba Town, and the people's Government of Yuanba town was stationed at No. 62, Wangjiang Road, wangjiangshe district.

Township enterprises have building materials, food processing, pig palm processing plants and construction industry. Agricultural production of rice, wheat, rapeseed. Pig breeding is the main industry.
