Dianzi town is located in the southeast of Laizhou City, 8.5km away from the urban center. Shenxian cave opened by a real person in the Yuan Dynasty and Daoshi Valley in the forest of calligraphy steles by Zheng daozhao, a calligrapher in the Northern Wei Dynasty, are key cultural relics under provincial protection. In 1997, the township was set up. Dianzi commune was set up in 1970 and changed to township in 1984. In 1996, it covers an area of 68 square kilometers and has a population of 14000. It has 25 administrative divisions, including Xincun, dataitou, xiaotaitou, dongwangzhuang, woluozi, xiazhangjia, majiakuang, Xiankuang, xiguanmen, dongguanmen, menggezhuang, Jijia, dongyangjia, Songjia, Wujia, qiandianzi, houdianzi, fujiaqiao, Houhe, Yashang, dongwazi, dalanzhang, shilizhuang, dongyinjia and xujiatuan Village.
