Yuping township is located in the east of Linxian County. Anyang River and Anyang highway run through the East and West. Yuping township is divided into North and south parts. The total land area of Yuping township is 130.87 square kilometers. It governs 23 administrative villages and 42 natural villages, with 51200 mu of cultivated land, 18644 people (2017), 5112 households and 8980 labor forces. In 2006, the per capita net income was 1100 yuan, which is one of the typical pure agricultural poverty towns. The village has a tradition of farming. In 1987, a chicken factory was set up in the township and developed into a family farm. After many setbacks and difficulties, it began to take shape. There are 280000 laying hens in the town, with an annual output of 700000 kg, forming the key breeding area of the whole county and even the whole city. Primary schools such as Yujian and Yongfeng have been installed with heating, and the policy of "three exemptions and one subsidy" has been seriously implemented.
