Shancheng town
Mountain city, in the 27th year of the Republic of China, the county government moved from Jingcheng to Jingyuan (now inside the intersection of new Zhongshan Road and Zhongshan Road). In October 1961, the county government moved from Jingyuan to the southern foot of the east side of niutouzhai, xibian village. It was built close to the mountain, so it is called mountain city.
Shancheng town is located in the south of Nanjing County, Fujian Province, downstream of Chuanchang river. Jingcheng Town and Toyota overseas Chinese farm in the East, Nankeng Township in the west, Pinghe County in the South and Longshan Town in the north, with a total area of 183.8 square kilometers. Along the river basin is alluvial plain, the rest is hilly land.
Chuanchang stream runs through the whole territory from northwest to Southeast. The lower part of the mountain town is low-lying and suffered from frequent floods. After 1960, the county allocated funds to build a stone dike for flood control in the mountain city. By 1985, a total of 1206 meters were built, with an investment of 1.15 million yuan. In addition, two channels in sanbian and Hongshan, eight flood control dikes in xiadai and Hongling electric drainage station have been built, and 70% of the farmland has achieved the goal of ensuring the income from drought and flood.
In 2019, the town covers an area of 183 square kilometers, with 27 villages and 5 community neighborhood committees under its jurisdiction, with a total population of 102000, accounting for nearly one third of the county's population.
Basic overview
Shancheng town is located in the upper reaches of Jiulong River in Zhangzhou, in the south of Nanjing County, where the county government is located. It is the political, economic, cultural, transportation and other activity center and tourism distribution center of the whole county. It has been awarded the honorary titles of "ecological Township in Fujian Province", "civilized village in Fujian Province", "the most beautiful county in China in 2017" and "Taobao town in China in 2019". Xibian village has been awarded the title of "ecological Township in Fujian Province", "civilized village in Fujian Province", "most beautiful county in China in 2017" and "Taobao town in China in 2019"“ "The fifth national civilized villages and towns".
In 2018, the total industrial output value of Shancheng town was 7.32 billion yuan, including 4.81 billion yuan of scale industrial output value, 2.344 billion yuan of fixed asset investment, 114.49 million yuan of local public financial revenue, 30.758 million yuan of actually utilized foreign capital, and 1.59 billion yuan of total retail sales of social consumer goods. The per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents was 36260 yuan and 17510 yuan respectively, an increase of 8.5% and 10.1%.

Historical evolution
In yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Shancheng belonged to Delhi. In the Republic of China, Shancheng belonged to Shancheng district. In the early days of the people's Republic of China, Shancheng commune was established in 1958. In July 1984, Shancheng district was established. In May 1987, Shancheng Township merged into Shancheng town. In 1990, the town was divided into 27 administrative villages, 5 residents' committees and 296 villagers' groups, with a total of 16515 households and 72340 people.

Culture, education and health. There are 31 County run Nanjing No.1 middle school, No.5 Middle School, Chengguan vocational middle school, Shancheng middle school and primary school. There are county hospitals, traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, maternal and child health stations, health and epidemic prevention stations, one township hospital and 24 village medical stations. The town has 41999 mu of arable land, including 35916 mu of paddy field. Rice is the main agriculture, followed by sugarcane. Fruits are fragrant all the year round. The main fruits are bananas and oranges. In 1990, it produced 21764 tons of grain, 39345 tons of sugarcane and 18240.6 tons of fruits, including 13305.3 tons of bananas and 4557.5 tons of oranges, with a total agricultural output value of 79.9179 million yuan (calculated at the same price in 1990, the same below).
In 1990, the total output value of industrial enterprises was 20.82 million yuan.
