Xinxing township is under the jurisdiction of hailun city. It is located at the southwest end of the city, adjacent to Wangkui County in the south, Tongken River in the West and Qinggang county. The township government is 75 kilometers away from the urban area. After the fall of Northeast China, it was under the custody of Lunhe at the beginning. In 1938, it was under the jurisdiction of Jishan village. After the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was subordinate to Bajing district and later divided into Lunhe district and Bajing district. In April 1956, villages were divided into townships and Xinxing townships were set up. In November 1958, it was incorporated into Lunhe people's commune. In 1962, some areas were divided from Lunhe and Yongle communes to establish Xinxing commune. In March 1984, it was changed into Xinxing township. Xinxing township is located at the intersection of Tongken River and its tributaries, with fertile soil and sufficient water. The total area of the township is 91.7 square kilometers, with 100000 mu of arable land. The main crops are corn, soybean, millet, etc. The township has jurisdiction over 10 villages, including Xinxing, Jingfa, Liansheng, Qiangmin, Zhongzhu, Zhenli, Jingxing, Gongfa, Shanwan and Kunlun. At the end of 1992, the total population of the township was 17500. The township government is located in Xinxing village. Now Xinxing township is merged with Yongle Township and named Yongfu township
