Dongxiang, Rong'an County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Rong'an county. The township government is located in the urban area of the county. It is connected with Dapo Township and Fushi town in the southeast, Dajiang Township in the north, Chang'an Town and Daxiang Township in the west, and national highway 209 of zhiliu railway and Rongjiang River pass through the township. The traffic is very convenient.

By the end of 2002, the total area of the township was 107 square kilometers, with a total population of 17329. There were 9 villager committees and 68 villager groups under its jurisdiction. There are 434 CPC members in the township, including one general Party branch and 22 party branches. The forest area is 102301.5 mu, and the cultivated land area is 22004 mu, including 15825 mu of paddy field and 6179 mu of dry land. It is a typical agricultural township. Jiangkou Village in Chengdong township is in the forefront of the county due to its obvious traffic location advantage and rapid industrial adjustment process. It has been identified as "family planning civilization demonstration village" and "science and technology civilization demonstration village" by Rong'an county Party committee and county government.
