Chengdong Township, Kaiyuan city, Liaoning Province, is located in the north of Kaiyuan city, adjacent to Weiyuan town in the East, Changtu County in the north, Laocheng street in the West and yangmulinzi Township in the south. It is a half mountain and half plain area. The Liao Kai line passes through the territory, 5 kilometers away from the national highway 102. The township covers an area of 92 square kilometers, including 60000 mu of arable land, a population of 20095, and 12 villages.

From east to west, Shizigou village, Mengjia village, Xiushui village, Fangniugou village and Jiangjia village are mountainous villages with beautiful mountains and rivers, pleasant climate and forest coverage rate of about 75%. Other villages belong to plain villages with monthly fertile arable land. The Chengdong township government of Kaiyuan city, Liaoning Province is located in songshanpu, with a population of 17000 and an area of 98.74 square kilometers. It governs 14 village committees: Mengjia, Chengdong, Shizigou, Hongshi, Xiushui, Fangniugou, houmashibao, Jiangjia, yangbao, zhaojiatai, panjiatun, Kaiyuan station, donggujiazi and fengjiatun.
