Shadian street is located in the north of Gejiu City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, with longitude 103 ° 13 ′ E and latitude 23 ° 31 ′ n. It borders Datun street in the southeast, Jijie town in the southwest, ruodian village in Jijie town in the West and Longgu village in Yangjie Township in Kaiyuan city in the north.

Historical evolution

In 1950, it belonged to Mengzi County.

In 1958, it belonged to the iron and steel commune.

In 1975, it was transferred to Gejiu City and set up Shatian commune.

The town was changed in 1984.

In 1997, it covers an area of 15.1 square kilometers and has a population of 12000, of which the Hui nationality accounts for 89%. It governs four administrative villages, namely, Shadian, xinshadian, Jinchuan and chongposhao.

In 2002, it covers an area of 15.1 square kilometers and has a total population of 13793, including 12427 agricultural population. It has jurisdiction over four administrative villages, 11 natural villages and 31 cooperatives of the Hui nationality in Shadian, xinshadian, Jinchuan and chongposhao.

In 2014, Datun town was listed as a national key town.

In 2019, Shadian Street will be set up in Shadian Town, Gejiu City, Yunnan Province.

geographical environment

It is 24 kilometers away from the city. It is located in the dam area with an altitude of 1200-1400 meters. The Shadian River and the ink river flow through the territory. There is Beipo reservoir in the southeast. Inner Mongolia (from) Baotou (Xiu) railway and national highway 323 pass through the southern edge of the area, and Kunming (Ming) River (mouth) highway passes through the area.
