Shanmen town

Shanmen Town, belonging to Tiedong District, Siping City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Tiedong District, bordering Yehe Manchu town in the East, Changtu County in Liaoning Province in the South and West, and Siping City in the north. National Highway 102, national highway 303, Beijing Harbin Expressway and ring road all pass through the town. The area is 181.7 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, 25277 households registered residence in the town.

In October 1958, it was assigned to the production management area of Siping forest farm; in September of the same year, it was renamed Shanmen production management area. In August 1961, Shanmen commune was established. In December 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In 1985, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, Shanmen town has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages.
