Xin'an Township

Xin'an Township, belonging to Shulan City, Jilin Province, is located in the southeast of Shulan City, at the intersection of zhangguangcai and Laoyeling in the Changbai Mountain; it borders Shahezi Town, Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province in the southeast, Jiaohe City in the south, Shangying town and small town in the west, Kaiyuan town in the northeast, with an area of 829.12 square kilometers.

During the period of the Republic of China, Xin'an Township belonged to five districts of Shulan County; in November 1984, it was changed from Xin'an commune to Xin'an township. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in new Anxiang was 20178. As of June 2020, Xin'an township has jurisdiction over 13 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is stationed in Xin'an village.

The main food crops in Xin'an are rice and corn, and the main animal husbandry is pig and cattle. In 2018, there were 8 industrial enterprises and 69 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters in Xin'an township.

History of construction

Xin'an township is named after the township government's residence in Xin'an village.

During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to five districts of Shulan county. In 1945, it was divided into Xin'an district (four districts).

In October 1958, Xin'an commune was established.

In November 1984, it was changed from Xin'an commune to Xin'an township.

In October 2001, Yushugou township was merged into Xin'an township.
