Chaoyang township is a township under the jurisdiction of Baoqing County, Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province. It is located in the east of Heilongjiang Province, the south of Sanjiang Plain, the east foot of Wanda mountain, and the east south of Baoqing county. The township government is 22 kilometers away from the county seat. Chaoyang township administrative area of 462.66 square kilometers, 8122 hectares of arable land. 10567 people (2017), under the jurisdiction of Hongqi, Hongsheng, HongRi, Chaoyang, Fengshou, Shuguang, Dengta, Hexing, Dahe Town, Dongwang, Sihetun and other 11 administrative villages.

Historical evolution

The township area, after the victory of the "93" Anti Japanese war in 1945, was under the jurisdiction of the Fifth District of Baoqing county. In July 1956, Chaoyang township was set up in the village. In August 1958, "people's commune" merged the four townships of Jianshanzi, Chaoyang, wanjinshan and Wanbei to form wanjinshan people's commune. In May 1961, the six production teams of wanjinshan commune, liming, dawning, Hongmei, lighthouse, Henan and forest farm, were set up to establish Chaoyang commune. In May 1984, it was changed to Chaoyang township.
