Yongan Township is a township under the jurisdiction of Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiangxi Province. It is located in the north of Chaisang District, Jiujiang City, on the South Bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with an area of 51.9 square kilometers and a population of 35700.
Yongan village has nine administrative villages, including Dashu, Xinmin, Binjiang, Guanhu, Aiguo, Yongan, Aimin, Changhe and Agricultural Science Institute. The township government is located under Dashu.
Historical evolution
It is named for the eternal safety of the river embankment. At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to the Fourth District, Xingfu and Jianshe Township in 1956, and port commune in 1958. Yongan commune was established in 1962 from Gangkou commune, and Yongan Township was established in May 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 43.6 square kilometers and has a population of 20000. It governs eight administrative villages, namely minzha, Dashu, Xinmin, Binjiang, Guanhu, Aiguo, Yong'an and Aimin. The township government is located under Dashu, 19 kilometers away from the county seat. In 2002, Baihua township was abolished and transferred to Yong'an township.
Attachment: Baihua township is located in the northwest of Chaisang District, on the South Bank of the Yangtze River. Gangkou Chihu highway is connected with JIURUI highway.
In 1981, it was designated from Yong'an commune as the original cotton seed farm in Chaisang District, and changed to Baihua Township in 1987. In 1997, it covers an area of 11 square kilometers and has a population of 7000. It governs four administrative villages: Changhe, Baihua temple, wangjiapu and Xingfu. The township government is located in Baihua temple, 19 kilometers away from the county seat.
On January 11, 2002, Baihua township was abolished and transferred to Yong'an township.

Yongan Township is located in the west suburb of Jiujiang Economic and Technological Development Zone and the South Bank of the Yangtze River, with an area of 52 square kilometers. The cultivated land area of the township is 34500 mu, and the water surface can be raised is 1500 mu. It has a subtropical monsoon humid climate with four distinct seasons. It governs 10 administrative villages and an agricultural science institute, with a population of 29000. More than 4000 households live in the front line, stretching for more than 50 miles. It is known as "the longest village in the world".
Economic overview
Yongan Township is located in the impact plain of the Yangtze River, with flat terrain, fertile land, intertwined canals and networks, mild climate, suitable for agriculture, animal husbandry and sideline fishery production. It is a key cotton Township in northern Jiangxi and an efficient agricultural demonstration park in Jiujiang City. The cotton planting area of the township is more than 20000 mu, and the average yield of seed cotton reaches 700 Jin in the highest year. The vegetable planting area is 15000 mu, including 5000 mu of greenhouse, with an annual output of more than 90 million jin. It is a pollution-free vegetable production base in Jiangxi Province, and has successfully registered the "xunlu" brand green trademark, which is popular both inside and outside the province. In addition, the production of wheat, rice and other food crops in the township also has a certain scale. The "Tianbao melon" planted in Dashu village and Xinmin village, and the new variety watermelon planted in Aimin village sell well in Jiujiang City.
Yongan Township is close to Jiujiang City, with convenient transportation. It is only ten minutes to dozens of minutes' drive away from Jiujiang station, wharf, airport, Yangtze River Bridge, expressway and Lushan mountain crossing. Traffic is also very developed in the territory, with 316 National Highway in the south, Diding cement Avenue and the Yangtze River golden waterway in the north, crossing the East and West, connecting with Jiujiang and Ruichang. The territory has developed electric power and communication facilities, with a 35KV substation built in the province's first hometown; water resources are rich, almost every village in the township has a tap water tower; economy, science and culture are booming.
Around the goal of building a "harmonious, rich, beautiful and ecological" new Yong'an, the whole Township unswervingly promotes the process of agricultural industrialization, strengthens the two engines of investment and financial revenue, implements the two positions of agricultural production and new rural construction, ensures social stability and family planning, and optimizes the two highlights of labor employment and service window, so as to realize rural economic and social development It will develop comprehensively, harmoniously and sustainably. In 2005, the township achieved a fiscal revenue of 2.31 million yuan (deducting the factor of agricultural tax exemption), an increase of 19% over the same period of last year. The private economy is extremely active, the number of individual businesses and private enterprises is increasing, and the people's life is constantly improving.
