Suburban township, a township under the jurisdiction of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was withdrawn and merged at the end of the 20th century. It is surrounded by the county seat, Baibao Township in the East, caiwan Township in the west, Jiantang Township in the South and yongsui and Longshui Township in the north. The total area is 161.7 square kilometers. It has jurisdiction over 14 village offices and 221 natural villages, including Chicai, Shuinan, dengjiabu, Dagui, Raoshan, Qinglong, Tianwei, Qiyi, Longyan, Qianjin, Daxin, zhuxitian, Fuping and Zheqiao, with a total of 9800 households and 39700 people. The population density is 233 per square kilometer. The township government is located at the foot of Lijia mountain in Jicai village, 1 li away from the county people's government.

The Qing Dynasty was divided into three parts: en Township, Chang Township and WAN township. In 1942, it was a part of Kangqiang, Jinping, Yonghe and Waner townships. At the beginning of liberation, it was called Chengguan District. In 1950, it was renamed Chengjiao district. Later, it was renamed Yiqu, Longyan district and Chengjiao people's commune. In 1984, it was renamed Chengjiao township.

In the territory of mountains, water potential vast. It is located in the east of Dupangling and in the northwest of Yuechengling. The economic crops are mainly vegetables with large output, which are the main supply areas of the county. In 1990, 2734 mu of vegetables were planted, with a total grain output of 19.05 million kg. 2.7 million kg of commodity grain was provided to the state, with a per capita grain output of 480 kg. The annual total income is 49.81 million yuan, and the per capita income is 1254.6 yuan. The mineral resources in the township include limestone, marble, manganese, coal, sulfur and so on, especially the chemical manganese in leigongling with high grade and large reserves. There are 1177 township enterprises, including 10 township enterprises and 2256 employees, including 454 township enterprises. The total income was 17.52 million yuan, ranking third in the county's township enterprises, second only to Quanzhou town and Longshui township. The village run enterprises of Daxin village office are well-known both inside and outside the county. The main products are manganese ore with an annual output of 9000 tons, 17.7 million red bricks, floor tiles, marble and other building materials, which are sold in and out of the area. In 1990, there were 3 rural junior high schools with 25 classes, 1630 students and 106 teaching staff; 14 primary schools with 17 teaching points, 140 classes, 5305 students and 146 teachers. One township hospital and 27 medical centers. There are seven story Zhenxiang tower built in 1798, which is more than 30 meters high. Longyan cave is one of the eight ancient sceneries in the county. Outside the cave, there are dense forests, birds singing and flowers fragrant, and the streams in the cave are continuous all the year round. It is the location of the underground Hospital of the Chinese people's Liberation Army. There are five floors of outpatient and inpatient buildings in the cave. It is a famous underground hospital in China. In recent years, the hospital has built winding paths and pavilions in the back mountain for sightseeing and recuperation. In the second year of Xianfeng (1852), Feng Yunshan, the southern king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, died here. Today, there is a monument to the southern king.
