Shahe Town, Yuanbao District, Dandong City is an administrative area under the district. Yalu River and Jinjiang mountain are nearby. There are also many commercial areas such as women's street and home world.

Regional overview

Anton county was established in Shahe Town. At the beginning, it had 64 cards, and then 49 cards. After the establishment of the Qing Dynasty, the Han people in the area poured in to cultivate, harvest and do business, which brought advanced production technology and promoted economic development. With the development of Yalu River water transportation, it gradually became the distribution center of wood, grain, mountain goods and tussah in the eastern part of Northeast China. By the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, there were three major industries, namely, oil pressing industry, wood processing industry and silk industry. There were more than 20 industries, including tussah, grain and oil, mountain products and medicinal materials. There were many specialized markets, such as grain market, vegetable market, fish market, silk cocoon market and firewood market. By 1927, the urban population had grown from less than 2000 to more than 100000, with a large number of floating population.
