On December 6, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved the adjustment of some township administrative divisions in Meishan City (cfgm [2019] No. 13): Gaotai Township and hebazi town were abolished and Gaotai town was established. The administrative area of Gaotai town was the administrative area of the former Gaotai Township and hebazi Town, and the people's Government of Gaotai town was located at No. 87 Maliu street.
