Introduction of floor lamp Yangko

The original name of the floor lamp Yangko is the ancient (drum) Yangko. It is a form of singing and dancing to celebrate New Year's day. During the reign of Emperor Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, it was gradually combined with the activity of "floor lamp", so it is called the floor lamp Yangko. It is mainly popular in Qingxiang Town, duizhu town and Dianping township of Fenxi county. the ground lamp is a high pole planted in the open space during the festival. Taking it as the center, 360 sorghum poles or wooden sticks tied with oil lamp lamps are inserted into the ground according to the vertical and horizontal 19 lines, and the distance between the lines is 2.5 feet. The ground is exposed 3 feet, and then the horizontal bars are tied to form the array, which is called jiuruyi, Jiuqu Yellow River enchantment array or Jiuqu eighteen bend ground lamp. On the night of the festival, the oil lamp is lit. The Yangko team first performs in the open space in front of the ground lamp array, and then leads the people to walk around the array, which means to get rid of all kinds of diseases and wish them all the best in the coming year. The performance team of "dideng Yangko" is composed of 11 people: one plays the role of "umbrella lifter" (also known as "Yangko head"), one plays the role of "string selling old man", one plays the role of "vegetable selling mother-in-law", one plays the role of "waist drummer", two plays the role of "daughter-in-law", and one plays the role of "little girl" (also known as "following Yangko"). Before liberation, the woman selling vegetables, the two wives and the little girl were all played by men. After liberation, the role of daughter-in-law and little girl was generally changed to that of daughter-in-law. In addition, there are four percussion accompaniment, including one percussion Gong, one percussion drum and two percussion cymbals.

Except for the little girl, the rest of the roles can be sung individually or by two or three people in turn. After the performance, young men and "new daughter-in-law" perform "top four doors", which is the most wonderful part of the dance. While beating the waist drum, the young man shakes his head and dances the soft silk on his hat to make it stretch forward, fly up and down, shake left and right, and rotate around his head. It's as strange and beautiful as a silver snake. Two "new daughters-in-law" beat the Gong, while running around the waist drum hand, looking left and right, dodging back and forth, shyness. Three people create a strong happy atmosphere for the dance, which often arouses the audience's applause or cheers, so that the dance reaches a climax. The next is "running wax flower": the three of them cross each other to take an "8" line, forming a 6-petal pattern of wintermoon plum blossom. Finally, yanggetou will lead you around the venue to finish the performance. After the performance, the Yangko team will perform door by door in the village to pray for the master.
