Banbian township was established in 1913, Shengli commune was established in 1959, Shengli township was established in 1983, and Qiaoting township was incorporated into Jianzhen town in 1992. Located in the west of the county, 30 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 41.92 square kilometers and has a population of 25320 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 26 village committees including zishengqiao, dashiba, Fuxing, Xinmiao, Yuhe, shikuatian, shihuachang, Shikong, Bajiao, sanzigou, mangshu, wuguwan, Chuanyan, liangjiazhai, baihebei, Shuangyan, longtougou, Jiale, diaojinglong, Guanyintang, shimenlou, Baoan, dongtanggou, Fengtai, Jinzhu and Qiaoting. Chuanyan cave is a famous Tiansheng bridge located in Shengli Town, wusheng County, Sichuan Province. It is named Chuanyan cave because it passes through the rock walls. Chuanyandong is close to shenglichang town and layuegou reservoir, 35 km away from Yankou town of wusheng County. It is a famous ancient scenery named "chuanyanxiyue". Chuanyan cave is located on the side of the mountain, with a length of more than 500 meters and a hyperbolic shape. It has a span of 62 meters, an arch height of 15 meters, a dome thickness of 3 meters and a width of 4 to 8 meters above the cave. The whole cave is in a north-south direction with a deep ditch on the east side. The relative height difference between the cave surface and the valley is 70 meters, the west side is gentle slope terrace, the north end is an ancient temple, and the south end is an ancient village site, with arched village gate remains. In the early years of the Republic of China, Pang Xiaozhi, a school of vision in wusheng County, wrote: "who opened the Honghuang grottoes, Lingao will bear the mountain; dig a hole in the sky to see the double bends of the moon; white deer will live in the cave, and qingniu will cross the pass in the morning; where to visit the immortals, the blessed land is in the world."
