Tongjiazhuang town belongs to Heyang County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Located in the northeast of Heyang County. It is adjacent to Bailiang town in the East, Ganjing town in the west, Fangzhen town in the South and Longting town in Hancheng City in the north. Historical evolution

In ancient times, Tongti, the Qiang surname in Guanxi, lived here, initially named tongjiazhuang, and later tongjiazhuang.

In 1958, tongjiazhuang commune was established. In December of the same year, it was under the jurisdiction of tongjiazhuang management area and Longting management area of tongjiazhuang commune in Hancheng county.

In 1961, tongjiazhuang commune was restored.

In 1983, it was changed to township.

In 1997, it was changed to tongjiazhuang town.

In 2011, the former Yangjiazhuang township (the government's residence in Yangjiazhuang Village) was merged into the town.

Heyang section of the great wall of the Warring States and Wei Dynasties

Heyang section of the great wall of the Warring States period and Wei Dynasty is located at the southern foot of Liangshan Mountain, 15 kilometers north of Heyang County, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. From west to East, it passes through more than 20 natural villages in three towns: huangfuzhuang community of Jinyu Town, Ganjing town and Yangjiazhuang village of tongjiazhuang Town, with a length of about 20 kilometers. It enters Chengcheng County by Dayu River in the West and Hancheng City in the East. Among them, Muchang and dujiayuan in tongjiazhuang Town, behind Ganjing city and Hexi slope in huangfuzhuang Town, the remains of the great wall are still 1-6 meters high, and the rammed earth layer is clearly visible. The west section of dujiayuan village in the East is well preserved, and there is a relatively complete beacon fire pier in the northeast of the village, which is the only one of the Wei great wall ruins in Shaanxi. The remains of the Great Wall meander across xushuigou to Muchang village.

On October 7, 2019, the Heyang section of the great wall of the Warring States period was listed as the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council. It was incorporated into the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, the Great Wall site of Wei Dynasty.
