Daxing Town

Daxing Town, subordinate to Dongfeng County, Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province, is located in the middle and west of Dongfeng County, bordering Dongfeng Town and Erlongshan Township in the East, lalahe town in the south, Weijin town and Liaoheyuan town in the West and North. The maximum distance between East and West is 10 km, and the maximum distance between North and south is 30 km. The total area is 102.28 square kilometers.

In 1931, it belonged to the old town of Dongfeng County. In 1947, it belonged to the first district of Dongfeng County. In 1984, the commune was transformed into a township. In September 1993, the township was transformed into a town. By the end of 2018, Daxing town had 12715 registered residence population. As of June 2020, Daxing town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, and the people's government is stationed in group 2 of Daxing village.

It borders Dongfeng Town and Erlongshan Township in the East, lalahe town in the south, Weijin town and Liaoheyuan town in Dongliao County in the West and North. Daxing town is located in the low mountains and hills of Jilin hadaling and the wide valley area of Huifa River, and the east foot of Jilin hadaling. The terrain is high in the West and low in the East. There are three East-West mountains in the north, middle and south, and the valley plain is formed between the mountains. Weilugou mountain, the highest point in the territory, is located at the junction of Daxing Town and lalahe Town, with an altitude of 509.3 meters; the exit of raoying River, the lowest point, is located at Ansheng village, with an altitude of 366 meters.

The rivers in Daxing Town belong to Huifa River system of Songhua River Basin, of which raoying river basin covers an area of 72.8 square kilometers, accounting for 70%; daliushugou basin covers an area of 31.2 square kilometers, accounting for 30%. Raoying river originates from the east foot of qingdingzi in Yongping village, flows from west to East through Daxing, Chaoyang, welfare, Ansheng and Xinsheng villages, and then flows into Lianhe River in Dongfeng town. The length of raoying river is 8.7 km and the total runoff is 150000 m3. Daliushu gully originates from zhangdafangtun at the east foot of hadaling mountain in Jilin Province. It flows from southwest to northeast, then to Southeast at Houjia street. After leaving Dongyang village, it confluences with xiaoliushu River and flows into Lianhe river at nantunji town.
