Sanhe market town

Sanheji is located 31 kilometers northeast of Dingyuan County, adjacent to Hengshan township of Mingguang City in the East, Meishi Township and Hongxin township of Fengyang County in the north. It is the junction of two counties and one city. The traffic conditions are very convenient, 15 km away from Jinpu railway, 10 km away from 104 National Road, and the shuttle bus can directly reach Hefei and Bengbu. After the merger of Sanhe market town and the original Lianpu Township, it has a land area of 135.9 square kilometers, a cultivated land area of 63000 mu, a permanent resident population of 34196 people (in 2017), 10 administrative villages, 204 villager groups, and more than a dozen units directly under the town.

Historical evolution

Sanhe Town has a long history, outstanding people and profound culture. More than a thousand years ago, Sanhe was called "Ni Quying" in ancient times. Through the development of the past dynasties, it has formed an ancient town with thousands of people, mainly surnamed Wu, Li, Wang and Huang. The streets in the town are crisscross, known as "nine streets and eighteen lanes". Wu Liang, who was born in Ming Dynasty, was the founding General of Zhu Hongwu, and Li Xiaojiang, who was born in Qing Dynasty, was a famous calligrapher in China. The natural landscape in the territory is beautiful. There were eight landscapes, including Suqiao Yinyue, Huaiyuan ancient trees, Liuxing Wenying, etc. On the eve of liberation, it used to be an important distribution center of goods and materials for hundreds of miles, known as "little Nanjing". The stone steps of the wharf connecting Huaihe River are several feet wide. There are hundreds of business houses on the street. There are lots of traffic in the daytime and lights at night.
