Xiangyan town

Xiangyan town is under the jurisdiction of Pingwu County. Xiangyan township was established in 1950, the commune was changed in 1958, the township was restored in 1984, and the town was established in 1992. Located in the southeast of the county, 75 kilometers away from the county. It covers an area of 243.83 square kilometers and has a population of 10307 (2017). Nanping Luzhou provincial road passes through. The east line of the ninth ring road runs through the whole area, 65 km away from Pingwu County, 53 km away from the Central District of Jiangyou City, and 101 km away from Mianyang. The town covers an area of 243.83 square kilometers with an average altitude of 700m. The town governs 14 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, 90 cooperatives, with a total population of 10307 people (2017), with 14583 mu of cultivated land and 8230 mu of converted farmland to forest land. the town is rich in mineral resources, of which lead-zinc ore reserves are huge, the ore belt covers more than 30 square kilometers of Tongxin, Qinglin, Shuangfeng and other villages; limestone ore belt covers more than 20 square kilometers of Tongxin, Qinglin, Shuangfeng and other villages; pyrite covers more than 10 square kilometers of Dashui, Qingshan and other villages; placer gold deposits are distributed in more than 10 square kilometers of the main stream valley of Fujiang River. After the construction of Wudu water diversion project, a national key project, the water surface formed by Wudu reservoir and baolingsi power station reservoir runs through the whole area along the Fujiang River, covering an area of more than 20 square kilometers.
