Dacanggai Town, belonging to Qiaodong District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the northwest of Qiaodong District, adjacent to Dongwangshan Township in the East, Qiaodong District in the south, Qiaodong District in the west, Chongli County in the North bounded by the Great Wall, with a total area of 111 square kilometers.

In February 1965, meijiaying commune was set up in dacanggai town; on December 29, 1999, dacanggai township was changed into dacanggai town. In February 1965, meijiaying commune was established.
