Daxing Town

Daxing Town, subordinate to Bishan District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Bishan District, adjacent to Bicheng street in the East, Qinggang street in the southeast, Zhengxing town in the south, Anxi town in Tongliang district and Jinlong town in Yongchuan District in the west, riverside town in the northwest, Fulu town in the North and Bicheng street in the northeast, with a total area of 100.14 square kilometers.

In the 20th year of the Republic of China (1931), Daxing town was named Daxing Township; in January 1994, Dapeng Township, Tongxin township (formerly Sanjiao township) and Wuli Township were merged into Daxing town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Daxing town was 57871. As of June 2020, Daxing town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 17 administrative villages, and the town people's government is located at No. 8, evangelical street, Xinglong community.

History of construction

In 1931, Daxing town was called Daxing Township.

After December 1949, it belongs to the second district.

In September 1958, Daxing, Zitong, Sanjiao and Dapeng were merged into Daxing commune.

In January 1984, Daxing commune was changed into Daxing Township.

In January 1994, part of Dapeng Township, Tongxin township (formerly Sanjiao township) and Wuli Township were merged into Daxing town.

In December 2003, Danfeng town and Meijiang Township were merged into Daxing town.

In 1997, Daxing town had 21 administrative villages in Changlong, Shiti, Shizi, arch bridge, Shuangbai, Shuangyan, Shimen, Taichi, Yanjing, Chuanxing, Shuigou, Hongling, FUJIA, Liangfu, Yanghou, compass, Shibi, Tiangui, Pingan, Yutang, changchong and a community in Xinglong.
