Linjiang street, belonging to Chuanying District, Jilin City, Jilin Province, is located in the east of Chuanying District, with Jiangmen square in the East, Songhua River in the south, the intersection of Nonglin street and Songjiang West Road in the west, Jiefang West Road and Changchun Road in the north, covering an area of 1.9 square kilometers.
At the end of Qing Dynasty, the tenth patrol police district office was set up in Linjiang street; in May 1979, it was changed from Linjiang Street Revolutionary Committee to Linjiang street. At the end of 2011, the total population of Linjiang street was 31848. As of June 2020, Linjiang street has four communities under its jurisdiction, and its sub district office is located at No. 2, building 2, new century building, Songjiang West Road.
At the end of 2011, there were 551 commercial outlets and 4317 employees in Linjiang street; the total retail sales of social consumer goods was 580 million yuan, an increase of 3.2% over 2010; the transaction volume of urban and rural fair trade was 380 million yuan.
History of construction
At the end of Qing Dynasty, the tenth patrol police district was set up.
During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to five districts and eight teams. During the period of the Japanese occupation in Northeast China, the famous Chuanying street was managed by Linjiang street. In 1948, Linjiang Street government was established.
In 1950, Linjiang Street government changed to Linjiang Street office.
In 1953, Linjiang Street office was changed into Linjiang Street Committee.
In December 1954, Linjiang Street Committee changed to Linjiang street.
In 1958, it merged with Xicang Street into Chuanying commune and set up Linjiang branch.
In October 1962, Linjiang branch changed to Linjiang street.
In December 1968, Linjiang street was changed into Linjiang Street Revolutionary Committee.
In May 1979, Linjiang Street Revolutionary Committee was changed into Linjiang street.
