Linjiang street is located in the center of the old urban area of Cangshan District, covering an area of about 1.58 square kilometers. It has four communities: cangqianshan, Changpu, guanjing and Xiachi, including 9823 permanent residents and 29598 people (2010).

The sub district Party Working Committee has 26 grassroots party organizations with 582 party members. There are 9 leading groups of Party and government in the street, 88.9% of them have bachelor's degree, and the average age is 46 years old.
