Hongqi Township

The township is located in the southwest of Baqiao District Chan River Road. It is adjacent to Bailuyuan and Dizhai Township in the East, maxing Township in Chang'an County in the south, Jiapo Township in Yanta District across Chanhe River in the west, and textile city and Xiwang Township in the north. With a total area of 26.52 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 13 villager committees, 23 natural villages and 88 villager groups. There are 8493 households, with a total population of 32233. There are 73 ethnic minorities, including Hui, Mongolian, Korean, Manchu, Li, Miao and Uygur. The township government was originally stationed in Sandian village and moved to Fangnan road in 1991.

The town is long and narrow from north to south. Banyin highway runs through the north and south, Fangnan road and Xianning road cross the East and West, Changle Road and Xitong road are connected in the north, and Shuian road is connected in the middle. There are No. 5 trams, No. 8 buses and No. 62, No. 64 buses in the eastern suburbs. In 1993, the total grain output was 4.875 million kg, the vegetable output was 30.63 million kg, and the total agricultural output value was 19.1 million yuan. The garlic sprouts planted in Sandian, Wanzi and shenlufang, which belong to the township, are fresh, tender, thick and fragrant, enjoying a good reputation in the ancient city.

Since the cultivation of bergamot melon came into the market in 1991, it has been favored by consumers both inside and outside the province, with great market potential. There are cattle, sheep, horses, donkeys, mules, pigs, rabbits, bees, chickens, ducks and so on. The orchard covers an area of 481 mu, with 26084 plants of apple, pear, pomegranate, jujube, cherry, persimmon, peach, grape, etc., with a total annual output of 176000 kg.

The fishing area of the township is 116400 square meters, mainly distributed in the Western Chan River beach of Wanzi, shenlufang, Sandian, Wuxing, Gaoqiao and other villages. The output of aquatic products is 67000 kg.
