Heping Township

Heping township is subordinate to Tongren City, Guizhou Province. It is located in the northwest of Tongren City, adjacent to Hexi Office and Chuandong town in the East, Taoying township of Jiangkou County in the west, Bahuang town in the South and Songtao Niulang town in the north, with a total area of 116.7 square kilometers, It has jurisdiction over 7 villages, including zuheping community, chenjiazhai, Ailong, Mengxi, Lengshui, deshengtun, Bacun, yaoshangou and Longyu, 1 community, 114 villager groups and 5140 households, with a total population of 19832 people and a population density of 170 people per square kilometer. Tujia and Dong are the main ethnic groups, accounting for more than 80% of the total population. The natural population growth rate is 4.59 ‰. The government is located in Heping, and the Chongqing Huaihua railway passes through the township.
