Minzhu street, belonging to Dongchang District, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, is located in the south of Dongchang District. It borders Dongchang street in the East, Jinchang town in the south, Guangming Street in the West and Longquan street in the north. In 1932, democratic Street belonged to Zhongchang district; in April 1980, it was changed from Guangming district reform committee to democratic Street. In February 1985, it belongs to Dongchang District. In 2011, the total population of Minzhu street was 33761. As of June 2020, four communities are under the jurisdiction of Minzhu street, and the street office is located in guimingyuan traffic police building 1.

History of construction

In 1932, it belonged to Zhongchang district.

In 1956, it was divided into Huancheng street and Xiguan Street, belonging to Huancheng Street office.

At the end of 1958, Xiguan Street office was merged into Huancheng Street office.

In May 1960, Huancheng Street office was changed into Longquan commune.

In January 1963, Longquan commune was withdrawn, and the Management Committee of the three streets of democracy, Yanjiang and Wenhua was changed into the Democratic sub district office.

In 1974, the Guangming district reform committee was set up, under the jurisdiction of the democratic Street Reform Committee.

In April 1980, the reform committee of Guangming district was changed into democratic Street.

In February 1985, it belongs to Dongchang District.

In 2011, Minqiang, Chuanying, Minzhu, Yanjiang, Beishan and Jiangnan communities were under the jurisdiction of Minzhu street, and 143 resident groups were set up.
