Liaohe Street
Old street name. The four branches of Liaohe sub district office are: Lingdong street, Lingyuan street and Xinkaihe in the East; Huanggu District and Shenhe District Railway boundary in the South; Beiling Street in the West; Taishan Road and Lingdong Street 121 Lane in the north. It covers an area of 3.69 square kilometers, with a permanent resident population of 92751 (2010), and its office address is 54 Ningshan road.
In December 2019, Shenyang Civil Affairs Bureau issued the announcement on the adjustment of administrative divisions of some streets in 10 areas including Heping District, canceling Liaohe Street and dividing its jurisdiction into Beita street.
Historical evolution
Vader street was established in 1955 and changed to Vader commune in 1958. In August 1960, it was incorporated into Beiling commune and renamed Wuyi commune. In 1962, it was renamed Liaohe commune. In 1978, it was changed into Liaohe and Heilongjiang streets. In 1996, Liaohe Street covers an area of 2 square kilometers, with a population of 45000, and has jurisdiction over 28 neighborhood committees; Heilongjiang Street covers an area of 0.4 square kilometers, with a population of 46000, and has jurisdiction over 29 neighborhood committees. In 2007, Liaohe Street and Heilongjiang Street were merged to form a new Liaohe Street. The fourth is: East from Lingdong street, Lingyuan street, Xinkaihe; South to Huanggu District and Shenhe District Railway boundary; West to Beiling Street; north to Taishan Road, Lingdong Street 121 lane. It covers an area of 3.69 square kilometers and has a total population of 131400. It governs 14 communities. The office is located at No.54, Ningdong road. in December 2019, Shenyang Civil Affairs Bureau issued the announcement on adjusting the administrative divisions of some streets in Heping District and other 10 areas, canceling Liaohe Street and dividing its jurisdiction into Beita street. After the adjustment, Beita sub district office is located at No. 48-3, Bashan Road, Huanggu District (former Liaohe sub district office).
