Shuangmiao Town, belonging to Hangjinhou banner, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the southwest of Hangjinhou banner. It is adjacent to Erdaoqiao town and sandaoqiao town in the East, Longshenghe town in Dengkou County in the south, the eastern edge of Ulanbuh Desert in the West and Qingshan town in Wulate banner in the North. It covers an area of 194.32 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in Shuang Miao Town was 24286.

Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Micang county. In 1958, it was part of the happy commune. In 2002, the township was transformed into a town. In 2005, taiyangmiao township was merged into zhaomiao town and renamed Shuangmiao town. As of June 2020, Shuangmiao town has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Shuangmiao town is stationed in group 1 of Erzhi village.

In 2018, there were 5 industrial enterprises in Shuangmiao Town, including 1 industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 19 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
