Xinhua Town

Xinhua Town, subordinate to Linze County, Zhangye City, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Linze County, adjacent to Shahe Town and yannuan Township in the East, nijiaying Township in the south, Nanhua town in Gaotai County in the west, and state-owned Linze farm in the north. It covers an area of 249.52 square kilometers. In 2018, Xinhua Town had 17040 registered residence population.

After 1912, it was called Weidi township. In 1929, it was called Xuanwei township. In 1961, Xinhua commune was established in the process of system adjustment. In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township. In 1998, Xinhua Town was established. As of June 2020, Xinhua Town has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Xinhua Town is located in Xijie village.

In 2018, there was one industrial enterprise in Xinhua Town, including one industrial enterprise above Designated Size and 14 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In Song Dynasty, Diqing, the general of the western expedition, built a fort here, which was called weidibao.

During the reign of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty, Li Xiangrong and Zhang Jizhong, the literary students, and Zhang Liyuan, the agricultural official, rebuilt the fort.

After 1912, it was called Weidi township.

In 1929, it was called Xuanwei township.

In October 1949, Xuanwei was changed into the second district.

In 1955, Xinhua Village was named after Xinhua Village in the process of withdrawing districts and merging townships (Xinhua and Dazhai townships were established in the former Second District).

In 1958, when it became a commune, it was called Xinhua management area of Shahe commune, which was under the jurisdiction of Zhangye county.

In 1961, Xinhua commune was established in the process of system adjustment.

In 1983, the commune was transformed into a township.

In 1998, Xinhua Town was established.
