There is only one bridge between Meilin town and the county seat. The town government is located in Meilin Village. The second floor, the third floor and the meeting hall of the town government are respectively one.

Housing construction: the houses are mostly Han style big houses with civil engineering and brick stone wood structure. The houses along the river bank are built with wooden frame "vertical buildings" to prevent flooding. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, the Jiujiu house of Merrill Lynch and the Honglin road house of Manshan are famous for their large number of rooms, large area, good design and complete supporting facilities. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the development of housing construction is rapid, civil structure is only limited to bungalows, and stone, brick, wood structure and reinforced concrete structure buildings continue to emerge. In the late 1980s,. public buildings: newly built Nan'an No.5 Middle School, Nan'an No.6 Middle School (Merrill Lynch middle school) and more than 20 expanded primary school buildings; newly built enterprise office building in Merrill Lynch Town, Merrill Lynch Health Center, Merrill Lynch grain station, Merrill Lynch supply and marketing cooperative, Merrill Lynch agricultural bank business office, and Merrill Lynch police station, with a construction area of 20100 square meters. Economic construction: there are Nan'an sugar factory, Nan'an particle board factory, Nan'an canning factory, Nan'an cement pole factory, Nanhua weaving factory, Nanjin forest farm and Nanjin nursery in the town. After 1980, new rice noodles, water heating equipment casting, shoes, plastics, tea processing plants, new Lixi street, Qiaotou market and South Hall, provincial market. In 1988, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town was 31.932 million yuan.
