Lougou Township

Lougou township is a township level administrative unit under the jurisdiction of Pianguan County, Xinzhou City, Shanxi Province, China.

Lougou township is located in the south of Pianguan County, adjacent to Shenchi county and Wuzhai County in the south, Hequ County in the west, Shangyu Township in the East and yaotou Township in the north. In 2002, Lougou township was merged with caojia village and Lougou township. Lougou township has 45 administrative villages, 66 natural villages and 7777 permanent residents (in 2017). There are 46 party branches, including 45 rural Party branches and 1 government branch, with 535 party members. The township covers an area of 420000 mu, including 79000 mu of arable land.

It is mainly agriculture, producing millet, potato and black bean. Yixi karst cave is one of the scenic spots of Pianguan. Wucheng Neolithic site is a county-level cultural relic protection area.
