Shuanglong town

Located in the northwest of Dazhou City, it is only 17 kilometers away from the urban area, 5.44 kilometers wide from east to west, 8 kilometers long from north to south, covering an area of 46.82 square kilometers. It is connected with Dongyue town and Fengbei street in Tongchuan District in the East, Lianhua Lake Management Committee and Fuxing town in the south, Dachuan District in the West and Pujia town in Tongchuan District in the north.

On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Dazhou city to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in Tongchuan District and other five counties (districts) (cfzm [2019] No. 21): mengshuang Township, Longtan Township and Xincun Township were abolished, and the administrative areas of the original mengshuang Township, Longtan Township and Lvmeng community, ranhe village, Changhe village, Fengtou village and zengjiagou village were transferred to Shuanglong town Jurisdiction, Shuanglong Town People's Government in Yucai Street 48.

It is located in the east of the new territories, adjacent to Tongchuan Township and Fuxing Township, and in the northwest of Tongyue township.

History of villages and towns

Built in late Qing Dynasty, it merged with Longtan River in 1944, named Lilong Township, merged into Shuanglong Township in 1947, established Xincun Township in 1952, changed into commune in 1958, and restored Township in 1984.

General situation

The town has 8 administrative villages, 1 community neighborhood committee and 66 villager groups, with a total population of 15203 (2017). There are 14 party branches and 479 party members in the town. By the end of 2008, the town has one coal mine, five calcium mines, two steel companies, one large plate company, one provincial first-class driving school and one mineral water plant. In 2008, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the town was 198 million yuan, of which the industrial output value was more than 80 million yuan, with an annual GDP growth of 18%; the total rural economic income was 194 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 4797 yuan.

The rural highway is connected with the Wei (Xing) Fu (Xing) highway.
