Shuanglong Town, located in the hinterland of Funiu Mountain in the west of Henan Province, is 25 kilometers north of Xixia County. It is the throat of Lushi County, Lingbao County, Luanchuan County, Song County and other places. It is known as the "north gate of Xixia". The town governs 22 administrative villages with a population of 21533 (in 2017) and a total area of 293.67 square kilometers (in 2017).

Shuanglong has convenient transportation, pleasant climate and rich tourism resources. The intersection of national highway 311 and provincial highway 331 passes through the market town.
