Shuanglong town

Shuanglong Town, subordinate to Jingyuan County, Baiyin City, Gansu Province, is located in the northwest of Jingyuan County, bordering Xinglong Township in the East, Hasi mountain in the south, Shimen Township in the west, and Wufo township of Jingtai County across the river in the north, with a total administrative area of 181.73 square kilometers.

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Renyi Township Office; in 1968, it merged with Yonghe, Huangping and other small communes to form Shuanglong commune; in July 1983, it was changed to Shuanglong township. Shuanglong township was built in August 2016. By the end of 2018, the population of Shuanglong town registered residence was 14138. In June 2020, Shuanglong town governs 8 administrative villages.

In 2011, the per capita net income of farmers in Shuanglong town was 2740 yuan. In 2018, Shuanglong town has one industrial enterprise and 28 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it belonged to Renyi Township Office.

In 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of the Fourth District Office of Jingyuan County.

In 1958, it merged with Yonghe township to form Yonghe commune.

In 1963, Shuanglong commune was established under the jurisdiction of Chuankou district.

In 1968, it merged with Yonghe, Huangping and other small communes to form Shuanglong commune.

In July 1983, it was changed into Shuanglong township.

In August 2016, Shuanglong township was removed from township to town.

By the end of 2011, Shuanglong town had 8 administrative villages: Yonghe, Huangping, Chengchuan, Shuanglong, niangou, Yihe, Renhe and Beicheng, and 50 villager groups.

In June 2020, Shuanglong town governs eight administrative villages: Beicheng village, Yonghe village, Huangping village, Chengchuan village, Shuanglong Village, niangou village, Yihe village and Renhe village. The town people's government is stationed in Yonghe village.

Shuanglong town is located in the northwest of the county, the north of Hasi mountain and the south of the Yellow River. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north. The terrain is close to mountains on three sides and rivers on one side. The mountains and tableland crisscross. Damiao Huaishan, the highest peak in the territory, is 3017 meters above sea level; the lowest point is Xiagou.
