Shuanghe town belongs to Jiuzhaigou County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an area of 110.06 square kilometers and a population of 4390 (2017).

On December 18, 2019, Sichuan Provincial People's Government approved Aba Prefecture to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in 10 counties (cities), including malkang city (Chuanfu Civil Affairs [2019] No. 22): Luoyi township was canceled and its administrative area was put under the jurisdiction of Shuanghe Town, and Shuanghe Town People's civil affairs government was stationed at No. 6, group 2, Zhonghe village.

history

Shuanghe township was established in 1952, changed to Shuanghe people's commune in 1958, restored to Shuanghe Township in 1961, changed to commune in 1962, and restored to Shuanghe Township in 1986. In November 2013, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, Jiuzhaigou County abolished Shuanghe Township and established Shuanghe Town, which governs the administrative region of Shuanghe township.

Geography

Shuanghe town is located in the southeast of Jiuzhaigou County, 12 kilometers away from the county.
