Lugu Township

Hequ County is located in the middle of the mountain area, 27 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Danzhai Township in the East, shaping Township in the south, xunzhen town in the West and QianChuan Township in the north. The terrain of the whole township is high in the East and low in the west, in the shape of a ladder. The Nanqugou Valley runs across the East and West, dividing the whole Township into two parts, the north and the south. The average altitude of the township is 1200 meters, the frost free period is 120-130 days, and the average rainfall is 380 mm. It is a typical loess hilly area.

Lugu township has 27 administrative villages: jinlugu, Shiren village, xiayuquan, Shangyuquan, baijiaye, nanshawa, Haoliang, Zhuangzi, wangsimao, yangqiowa, Dacun, Xiaonian, Yaopo, qilugu, qijiaye, xiangyangpo, Siye, Chengta, Zhaishang, yangpoquan, Daliang, bianjiagou, Xinzhuangzi, luotuoye, Ciyao, huita and Yatou, The total area is 85.2 square kilometers, and the agricultural population is 9670.

Evolution of organizational system

In 1956, Lugu township was established; in 1958, Lugu township was incorporated into xunzhen people's commune; in 1959, Lugu people's commune was established; in 1984, Lugu people's commune was abolished and changed into Lugu Township People's government; in 2001, the township was withdrawn and merged into town, and yuansiye Township was incorporated into Lugu township.

Yitou brick tower of Liao Dynasty

Located in the southeast mountain of yetou village, 30 kilometers away from the county seat, it was built in Liao Dynasty. The tower is 9 meters high, and its body is hexagonal. The tower body is a solid structure of hexagonal three-layer dense eaves, and its foundation is built with sand and stone. Due to a long time, after wind and rain erosion, man-made damage, tower cracking, tower foundation subsidence, almost collapse. In order to strengthen and protect the cultural relics, the ancient pagoda was repaired in 2011 with the advocacy of the rural level and the support of the community. Nowadays, there is an endless stream of tourists, and the Millennium pagoda radiates its former style.

Jinlugu Cultural Ecological Park

Located in jinlugu village, it is composed of Wenbi tower, Jin's ancestral hall and Jin Xiying Memorial Hall. The Wenbi tower was built in 1845. It is 7.3 meters high. It was demolished by the red guards during the cultural revolution and rebuilt by the village in 2009. In 2012, jinlugu village launched the initiative of building Jin ancestral hall for the sake of respecting ancestors and filial piety, blessing descendants and inheriting family precepts. The initiative was strongly supported by Jin people, leaders at all levels and relevant social figures. It was successfully completed in 2014, and the Kaiguang ribbon cutting ceremony was held on July 17 of the lunar calendar. Jin Xiying memorial hall was built in memory of the late Comrade Jin Xiying.

Famous people

Jin Xiying

(1920.1-2001.3), whose nickname is Jinli, was born in jinlugu village. He joined the revolution in 1937 and the Communist Party of China in 1938. During the Anti Japanese War, he successively served as the political instructor of the armed self defense force of the second district battlefield Movement Committee of Hequ County, the director of the fifth Experimental District, the Secretary of the League branch, the head of the people's Government of Hequ County, and the director of the County Trade Bureau. During the war of liberation, he successively served as head of Hequ County and director of the industrial and commercial bureau of the second division of Shanxi and Suizhou. In 1949, he went to Yan'an to study. In April 1953, he was transferred to the central financial and Economic Commission. In 1968, he served as deputy head of the infrastructure group of the State Council's plan drafting group. In 1972, he was the head of the planning group of the State Planning Commission. In 1977, he served as deputy director and member of the Party group of the State Planning Commission. In 1985, he retired to the second tier and served as a consultant of the State Planning Commission, chairman of the board of directors and director of the expert committee of China International Engineering Consulting Corporation, and President of China Engineering Consulting Association. He participated in the drafting and implementation of the eight five year plan for the national economy and made important contributions to China's socialist construction.
